MotorWatch has made these incredible videos available to the public in order to motivate drivers and occupants of motor vehicles to use their seat belts. Please show these videos to anyone you know who you know that is lax about buckling their seat belt!

Pursuit_crash.wmv shows what happens in a rollover without seatbelt, driver is ejected out the windshield. The vehicle appears to be either a Ford Explorer or Expedition. The SUV is being driven at high speed because the driver is trying to evade police. Crime does not pay, and can cost your life! The event was captured by a camera in the police helicopter, whose shadow can be seen in the video.  

	The SUV sideswiping another car as it speeds up the entrance ramp.
	The driver losing control of the SUV. it is unknown if the driver has had a heart attack, stroke, or why the SUV is suddenly turned to the left -- which ultimately causes it to roll over.
	The SUV rolling over. The sideways skidding makes the tires smoke.
	The driver being thrown out through the windshield and into the air (arrow).
	The SUV hitting the center divide while the driver flies through the air into the oncoming traffic.
	The center divide (Jersey wall) stopping the SUV from hitting the oncoming traffic.
	The arrow points to the driver who has landed on his head in the traffic second lane, barely missed by oncoming silver car.
	The arrow points to the driver who is about to be run over by the black car. The video shows this actually happening.

            The video was captured by a DriveCam unit on March 7, 2003 from an unknown source.

            DriveCam engenders no knowledge or responsibility for this unbelievable video.

• The No Seatbelt.avi video was filmed by a dash mounted DriveCam camera.
• Frame 1 (ten seconds) shows the unbelted driver nodding off while behind the wheel.
• Frame 2 (four seconds) shows the driver losing control of the car.
• Frame 3 shows him being thrown out of his seat.
• Frame 4 (1-second) shows the driver thrown to the rear of the passenger compartment.
• Frame 5 (1-second) the driver's head shatters the window glass
• Frame 6 His head is ejected out the window.

While the outcome of the driver is unknown, it looks pretty bad. The reflexive straightening of his legs could be as a result of his head being crushed or decapitated. (Click on the thumbnail below to enlarge)

But the message is clear:

People who don’t wear their seatbelts are gambling with their lives!

It also tells another story: This driver was driving while drowsy and lost control after he closed his eyes. The combination of falling asleep at the wheel and no seatbelt appears to be a fatal one! Was it? Did the driver die? Click here to find out
