DaimlerChrysler
2003 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan> The power liftgate latch may not engage the striker allowing the liftgate to open while driving.
2005 Dakota, Durango, Liberty, Magnum, Wrangler, 300 (with 42RLE automatic transmissions> Cup plug which is supposed to hold the park pawl anchor shaft moves out of position preventing the pawl from locking the wheels and allowing the vehicle to roll if the parking brake is not applied. Dealers install a bracket to retain the park pawl anchor shaft in place.
2005 Dodge Durango> Fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve doesn’t fully close at the end of refueling and allows fuel to escape from the vehicle filler neck.
2005 Grand Cherokee 3.7L engines and NAG1 automatic transmissions> Air conditioner evaporator condensate water enters the transmission at the fill tube grommet seal causing shudder during torque converter clutch engagement, increased transmission operating temperatures and blowing transmission fluid out into the engine compartment potentially resulting in an underhood fire. Dealers will inspect the transmission and install a new fill tube grommet seal and water deflector shield, transmission fluid will be triple-flushed, and if shudder is detected, the torque converter will be replaced.
2005 Pacifica> Problems with the wiring harness and low beam bulb on both halogen headlamps may experience an intermittent and eventual total loss of headlamp function.
2006 Dodge Ram1500 4-WD pickup trucks> Incorrect transfer case software loaded in the Power Train Module allows the transfer case to shift into neutral. If this occurs and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll away.
2006 Durango> Anti-lock brake system control module software program may cause the rear brakes to lock up during certain braking conditions causing loss of vehicle control in certain conditions.
Ferrari
1990-1992 F40>The forks fastening the front and rear lower suspension levers to the chassis can crack or break which could lead to a loss of a vehicle control.
Ford
1994-1996 Bronco; 1994-1999 F250; 1994-2002 F150; 1997-2002 Expedition: 1998-2002 Navigator; 2002 Blackwood> Brake fluid leaks into the speed control deactivation switch causing an electrical fire at the switch. Owners should have dealers disconnect the speed control deactivation switch and return for installation of a fused wiring harness when replacement parts are available (mid-October 2005).
1997 Crown Victoria, Mercury Marquis (with Electronic Traction Control)> The rear brake line chafes on a floor pan stiffening rib causing a brake fluid leak.
2000-2002 Focus> Salt induced corrosion at the pawl pivot area of the rear door latch prevents proper engagement of the pawl into the catch resulting in difficulty opening or closing a rear door, the rear door not latching properly and opening while the vehicle is in motion. (Recall in the following salt-states: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia)
2003-2005 Crown Victoria (taxis and Police Interceptors)> At high operating temps the sound insulating panel could sag and touch the catalytic converter causing a burning odor or a fire.
2004-2005 E350—450 Vans, Excursion; 2004-2005 F-250—550 Superduty 6.0l diesel> Engines may stall without warning or may not start. Dealers will upgrade the Fuel Injection Control Module wire harness or replace, and/or have a new Injection Control Pressure sensor connector installed.
2005 F-250—550 Super Duty 5.4l or 6.8l> Fuel jumper line may separate at the connection to the main fuel bundle causing a gas odor and/or fuel on the ground, loss of power, engine stall, and could result in a fire. Dealers will install an external retention clip at the fuel jumper line to the main fuel bundle connection.
2005 F650, F750 medium duty chassis cab> Hydraulic brake drive line park brake anchor bolt could fracture and the park brake may not function which may cause the vehicle to roll away without warning.
2005 Thunderbird, Lincoln LS> Localized thin wall section of the lower half of the fuel tank may crack and leak fuel or cause fuel odor.
2006 Expedition, Navigator> Tires on the driver’s side of the vehicle may have been damaged at the center tread during production and allow belt corrosion ultimately leading to a tread separation.
General Motors
1999-02 Chevrolet /GMC 1500; 2001-2005 C/K 2500, 3500 (with manual trans and built with either PBR or TRW parking brake systems)>The parking brake friction linings wear and cause the parking brake to become ineffective and not hold any longer.
1999-2002 Avalanche, Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon Xl> Dealers will remove the wheel speed sensor and thoroughly clean the mounting surface on the bearing housing, clean and apply rust inhibitor and grease to the surface, reinstall the wheel speed sensor, and check the peak-to-peak output voltage to ensure the wheel speed signal is within specifications. Otherwise the corrosion can cause unwanted Antilock Brake System activation. (Recall only in the "salt belt" states Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia)
2000-01 Suburban, GMC Yukon XL> Wires and connectors for the gas tank fuel module reservoir assembly overheat causing the fuel pump fuse to blow which disables the fuel pump resulting in engine stall or no-start condition. If the gas tank pass-through connector gets hot and the plastic melts, a hole in the connector can be created which will trigger the 'service engine soon' light to illuminate during the OBD II EVAP diagnostic self test. In addition the fuel level sender wires may be affected causing inaccurate fuel level readings and fuel vapor and liquid fuel may leak out of the fuel tank through the hole in the pass-through connector body.
2000-2002 Saturn L-Series sedans; 2000-2004 L-Series wagons> Pressing the brake pedal on for an extended time causes the lamps to distort the in the rear tail lamp assembly plastic housing resulting in 1) an intermittently inoperative brake/tail lamp bulb; 2) a short circuit and blown fuse causing inoperative brake, center high-mounted stop lamp, or tail lamps. Dealers will install a reinforcing socket adapter and new socket to the back of the existing or new lamp assembly (if needed).
2001-2002 Chevrolet Astro, GMC Safari> Open circuit in the steering column mounted multifunction switch results in the stop lamps and hazard lamps being inoperative. Vehicles in which the hazard slider button is still movable dealers will apply special grease to the contacts at the time of installation of the module. If a vehicle has a hazard slider button that is not movable (frozen), the entire multifunction switch will be replaced.
2002-2003 Envoy XL, Trailblazer EXT> Rear side closure latch may not latch or unlatch due to corrosion caused by road splash, such as water and road salt. The door may open while the vehicle underway allowing an occupant to fall out of the vehicle. Dealers will install a seal along the lower part of the rocker panel to prevent corrosion, functional latches will be cleaned and lubricated and non-functioning latches will be replaced. (Recall in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, And The District Of Columbia)
2002-04 Saturn L-Series Wagon> The seat belt anchor failed the crash testing and separated from the floor of the vehicle and may not be properly restrain the right and center rear seat occupants in a crash.
2003-05 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Sierra, Yukon; 2004 Cadillac SRX, XLR, Pontiac Grand Prix> If one of the two accelerator pedal return springs fails and the temperature is -22o to -40oF, the engine may not return to idle within three seconds, as required by DOT regs.
2003-2004 Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile; 2004 Buick trucks and SUVs> Faulty flasher module causes the turn signal to flash both left and right marker/turn signal lamps similar to a hazard warning.
2004 Buick Rendezvous, Pontiac Aztek> Contamination of the ignition relay contacts creates high resistance which affects the voltage signals to the powertrain control module and causes intermittent engine stalling.
2004-2005 Avalanche, Express, Hummer H2, Kodiak, Savana, Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, Topkick, Yukon XL> Bosch hydro-boost hydraulic brake booster pressure accumulator may crack and separate from the hydro-boost assembly during normal operating conditions. If this happens when the hood is open, fragments from the accumulator could cause injury to people in the immediate area. Also, loss of hydraulic fluid from the accumulator causes increased steering and braking effort.
2004-2005 Hummer H2> The 2nd row center occupant seat belt routing makes it difficult to get the lap portion of the belt low and snug around the hips of occupants- especially smaller occupants-and instead of fitting low around their hipbones, can cause increased risk of abdominal and internal organ injury.
2005 Avalanche, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon XL> Shift lever position indicator located in the instrument panel cluster may not illuminate and the driver may not know which gear the vehicle is in.
2005 Buick Rainer, TrailBlazer, Envoy> Windshield urethane bead may not have adhered to the body in certain areas during the cure process.
2005 Chevrolet Classic, Grand Am> Improper metallurgy of the rear suspension knuckle bolts causes them to fracture under high loads permitting the rear suspension linkage to detach from the knuckle and the rear wheel flopping inboard or outboard resulting in a loss of vehicle control.
2005 GMC Sierra Denali> Failure to comply with DOT the requirements for "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems" because the owner manual indicates incorrect seat locations for upper and lower tether anchors, and lists incorrect installation instructions for the top tether anchorage.
2005 Lacrosse> Clip securing the brake pushrod to the brake pedal arm pin may come off allowing the brake booster pushrod to separate from the brake pedal and a complete loss of brakes.
2005 Montana SV6, Terraza, Relay, Uplander> Parking brake doesn’t fully release, causing unintended braking, a noise coming from the rear of the vehicle, and unintended vehicle movement when it is applied.
2005 Pontiac G6> Failure to comply with DOT the requirements for "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems" because the owner's manual states that attachment anchors are at the outboard seating positions only.
2005 Saturn Relay, Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana minivans> During routine crash testing the outboard release handle on the impact-side second-row bucket seat was actuated and the rear latches unlatched which increases the potential for injury to the occupant of the seat.
2005 Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon XL> Brake pedal pushrod retainer may be missing and allow the brake booster pushrod to disengage from the brake pedal resulting a loss of brakes.
2005-2006 Corvette, Sierra, Silverado; 2006 Envoy, Escalade, Express, Hummer H2, Rainier, Savana, Tahoe, Trailblazer, Yukon> Under extreme steering maneuvers (turning the steering wheel fully to the left or right while braking) the power steering hose may leak causing 1) loss of power steering assist, 2) an engine fire, 3) on vehicles equipped with hydro-boost power brakes it could also cause increased braking effort.
2006 Avalanche ,Canyon, Colorado, Envoy, Escalade, Escalade ESV, EXT, Express, Hummer H2, Hummer H3, Montana SV6, Rainier, Saturn relay, Savana, Sierra, Silverado, SSR, Suburban, Tahoe, Terraza, Trailblazer, EXT, Uplander, Yukon, Yukon Xl> Failure to conform to DOT requirements with tire and loading information labels listing an inaccurate vehicle capacity weight.
Honda
2002 Passport> Fuel contaminated with silicon may cause small pin holes to develop in the fuel pump feed port causing a fuel leak and fire. Silicon has been found in fuel sold in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Louisiana. Dealers in these states will install a new cover over the existing fuel pump feed port or install a new fuel pump equipped with the new cover made from a different material.
2005 Accord, Odyssey Acura TL> Loose terminal in the main fuse box may cause the fuel pump to lose power resulting in engine stall/no start. Dealers will replace the entire fuse box.
2005 Odyssey mini vans> The two external frontal air bag system impact sensors were insufficiently sealed during manufacturing can corrode creating a short circuit which delays, or causes loss of frontal air bag deployment.
2005 Pilot, Odyssey> Improperly assembled steering column could result in a loss of steering control.
2006 Accord, Acura TL> Bolts were not properly torqued on the two external airbag front impact sensors (mounted near the headlights) preventing sensor(s) from detecting a crash, and malfunction of the airbags.
2006 Civic> Accelerator pedal comes loose from the pedal floor mounting and becomes stuck causing unintended acceleration. Dealers will reset the pedal or replace the assembly.
Hyundai
2005 Elantra; 2005 Santa Fe> Occupant Classification System (OCS) installed in the right front seat may misclassify a child restraint seat (CRS) as an adult if the CRS is installed after an adult has been sitting there and if there hasn’t been a 'key on' ' key off' cycle with the right front passenger seat empty prior to installation of the CRS. Misclassification of a CRS as an adult may allow the right front airbag or side impact airbag to deploy in a crash and could result in injury to the child. Dealers will reprogram the OCS module. (2004-2005 Elantra recall in Puerto Rico)
2005 Elantra, Tiburon> Threaded portions of the steering gearbox assembly's left and right inner ball joint assemblies contain internal cracks and can fail resulting in loss of steering. Dealers will replace the steering gearbox.
2005 Tucson (with Electronic Stability Program ESP)> Yaw rate sensor is too sensitive causing the ESP program to reduce engine power while driving as well as inappropriate brake application at one of the wheels.
2005 Tucson> Faulty parking brake lever ratchet pawl damages the teeth of the parking brake lever ratchet preventing the parking brake from engaging or may allow the parking brake to release after it has been engaged.
2006 Sonata 3.3> Oversensitive Electronic Stability Control activates while driving on banked curves causing inadvertent application of the front outside brake when ESC activation isn’t required which causes the vehicle to slow down and oversteer.
2006 Sonata> The front seat belt may interfere with the manual seat back recliner knob and could cause the front manual seat back recliner to inadvertently release causing injury to occupants. Dealers will replace the manual seat back recliner knob(s).
Isuzu
2002-2004 Axiom, Rodeo; 2002-2003 Rodeo Sport> Fuel contaminated with silicon may cause small pin holes to develop in the fuel pump feed port causing a fuel leak and fire. Silicon has been found in fuel sold in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Louisiana. Dealers in these states will install a new cover over the existing fuel pump feed port or install a new fuel pump equipped with the new cover made from a different material.

2006 S-TYPE, XJ> Defective automatic transmission parking pawl guide plate prevents engagement of the park position result in a vehicle roll-away condition.
2006 XK> Incorrectly assembled accelerator pedal arm reduces the clearance between the accelerator and the brake pedals which can increase the risk of both pedals being operated at the same time by the driver.
Kia
2001 Rio> Manufacturing flaw could cause the wheels to crack under long term driving fatigue, the wheel could separate from the vehicle. Dealers will replace all four wheels.
2003-2005 Sedona (with alloy wheels> Moisture contaminates the rear hub caps and damages the outer wheel bearing causing the bearing to fail.
2003-2005 Sedona> Water on the throttle cable can freeze during freezing operation resulting in unintended acceleration. Dealers will modify a protective sleeve around the throttle cable.
2004-05 LD Spectra> Advanced air bag feature occupant classification system (OCS) installed in the right front seat may misclassify a child restraint seat as an adult if the seat is installed after an adult has been seated and if there hasn’t been a 'key on—key off' cycle with the right front passenger seat empty prior to installation of the seat. The misclassification of OCS an adult may allow the right front airbag or side impact airbag to deploy in a crash and could result in injury to the right front occupant.
2005 Spectra> Steering tie rods crack or fail causing loss of vehicle steering control. Dealers will replace the entire steering rack assembly.
2005 Sportage> When the gas tank is full the O-ring for the vapor chamber in the tank leaks fuel from the evaporative air filter inlet which may cause a fire or engine stalling when coming to a stop.
Mazda
2004 RX-8> Improperly forged lower control arm cracks in the ball joint socket allowing the ball to separate from the socket resulting in loss of steering.
2004-05 RX8> If the engine is revved up without the vehicle moving the heat from the catalytic converter can melt various components causing failure of the oxygen sensor, neutral switch, backup lights, gas gauge, parking brake and heat damage to the fuel tank can cause it to leak.
2006 B-Series trucks, Tribute> Lack of grease on the windshield wiper motor output shaft gear may cause the gear teeth to distort or fracture during continuous use on the high speed setting resulting in the loss of wiper function.
2006 Mazda5 SUV> Heat buildup in the exhaust system could result in a fire. Owners should bring in their vehicles and will be given a rental or loaner vehicle at no cost while Mazda develops a remedy and makes repairs.
Mercedes Benz
2000 M-Class> Hose clamp that secures the power steering fluid cooling hose to the power steering fluid cooler may allow leaks from the connection. Loss of power steering fluid can damage the power steering pump and may result in diminished power assist.
2003-2005 E-, SL-Class; 2006 CLS-Class>. Deterioration of the wiring harness connection, or premature failure of the hydraulic pump causes the Sensotronic (electric) Brake Control (SBC) system to shift to the backup hydraulic mode resulting in greater brake pedal pressure required with longer brake pedal travel.
2005-2006 C Class (equipped with sport model steering wheels)> During low risk air bag testing an out-of-position unbelted small crash test dummy wasn’t properly restrained indicating a potential for injury. Dealers will install a new air bag inflator module.
Mitsubishi
2004-05 Endeavor> Parking brake pedal cable lock nut comes loose which reduces the effectiveness of the parking brake which could allow the vehicle to roll if the transmission is not placed into the "park" position and the vehicle is parked on a slope.
2005 Endeavor Galant>Anti-lock brake master cylinder allows brake fluid to bypass internally during stopping resulting in a partial loss of braking, increased stopping distances, and could lead to a vehicle crash.
2005 Lancer Evolution> Faulty turbo charger coolant hose leaks coolant during vehicle operation, coolant may ignite on the hot manifold and cause a fire.
2006 Eclipse> 1) Improper service brake booster crimp joints allow the booster body to separate resulting in a total loss of brakes. 2) Improper installation of one of four seals inside the master cylinder allow the by-pass of hydraulic fluid resulting in unexpected longer than normal pedal stroke and increased stopping distance.
2006 Eclipse> Defective brake and master cylinder booster body assembly could separate at the crimp joints, resulting in a total loss of brake system performance.
Nissan
2003-05 Murano> Broken field coil wire inside the alternator causes charging system failure, battery discharge, and the engine will go into fail-safe mode which will limit engine RPM and vehicle speed. Note: The charging and brake warning lights should come on.
2004-2006 Quest> Seat adjustment mechanism rear inside edge of the second row seat contains moving parts which can pinch a finger. Dealers will replace the inboard second row seat adjustment handle, rivet a plastic reinforcement to backside of the existing seat back cover carpeting, install tie-downs and a flange to the inboard side shield and/or rivet a plastic reinforcement to the backside of the existing seat back cover carpeting (depending on assembly date).
2005 Infiniti FX35, FX45, Q45, Maxima> Child seat latch lower anchor brackets were incorrectly installed.
2005 Sentra> Defective fuel tank vapor hose allows fuel to flow into the vapor hose if is parked with a full fuel tank. Fuel could flow into the vapor canister, spill out onto the ground and possibly cause a fire.
2005 Xterra> Optional hitch-class III receiver trailer hitches for may break while in use.
Rover
2002-2005 Land Rover Freelander 5-door> When child safety lever is in the "on" position, the door can still be opened from the inside.
2005 Land Rover LR3> Fuel tanks internal breather pipe swells and cracks the breather pipe grommet which lets the breather pipe come loose from the connector tube. This allows fuel to enter the breather pipe when the fuel level in the tank is above the level of the detached joint and the excess fuel will be discharged onto the ground which could cause fuel odor, drivability concerns (hesitation, misfire, stalling, rough running), hard starting, illuminated 'check engine' undercarriage fire. Dealers will replace the fuel tanks.
2006 Land Rover, Range Rover, Rover Sport> Defective seat belt buckle mountings on the
rear left hand second row seat belt prevent the buckle from latching.
2006 Land Rover, Range Rover, Rover Sport> Defective automatic transmission parking pawl guide plate prevents engagement of the park position result in a vehicle roll-away condition.
Suzuki
2005-2006 Verona> Inadequate wall thickness of the power steering pump pulley causes it to separate from the power steering pump resulting in hard steering, engine overheating, battery discharge, and engine stall.
Saab
2003-2005 sport sedan and convertible> Vacuum pipe check valve for the brake booster fails from high underhood temps causing a sudden loss of power brake assist.
Toyota
1989-1995 4Runner, 4WD Pickup; 1993-1998 T100> If the steering wheel is repeatedly turned where high steering effort and power assist are required (when fully turning the wheel while the vehicle is stopped), a fatigue crack may develop in the steering relay rod causing it to fracture, resulting in a total loss of steering.
2002-2004 Tundra, Sequoia; 2001-2004 Tacoma; 2001-2002 4-Runner> Failure of the front lower ball joint can cause increased steering effort or the joint may separate from the knuckle causing loss of steering control.
2004-2005 Sienna> Seat belt shoulder portion binds in the bezel trim piece in the middle row seating position (located on the shoulder portion of the seat in the right side seat of the 7-passenger models and the center seating position in the 8-passenger models) which allows extra webbing in the seat belt, and the occupant may not be properly restrained in a crash.
2004-2005 Tundra (with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and TRD dual exhaust system)> Exhaust pipe flange rubs against the right rear brake line causing brake fluid leakage.
2005 Avalon> Steering yoke weld to the steering shaft breaks allowing the yoke to come off from the shaft resulting in a complete loss of steering.
2005 Tacoma (regular cab w/bench seat)> Incorrectly positioned (bent) seat position and belt buckle sensor connector pins prevent deployment of the adaptive air bags.
2005 Tacoma w/automatic transmission> Parking brake pedal cable lock nut comes loose and reduces the effectiveness of the parking brake in keeping the vehicle from rolling if the transmission is not placed into the "park" position.
2005 Tundra (with automatic transmissions and optional fabric front captain's chairs)> Front passenger occupant indicator light doesn’t display the status of the front passenger airbag.
2005-2006 Scion TC> Highway speed operation with the (optional) glass wind deflector tilted in the upward-tilted position is dangerous because road debris may shatter the glass and separate it from the frame causing it to fall upon the occupants resulting in driver distraction and/or occupant(s) injury. Dealers will install a protective laminate to prevent pieces of glass from separating from the frame.
2006 Lexus IS250> inadequate clearance between the accelerator pedal linkage and a plastic pad embedded into the vehicle's carpet causing accelerator pedal to become stuck resulting in unintended acceleration. Dealers will inspect the clearance of the gas pedal and carpet, replace the pedal assembly with a revised assembly, and modify the carpet.
2006 Tacoma> The tire and loading info placard on the driver's side door post incorrectly indicates the rear designated seating positions and load capacity.
Volkswagen
1999-2000 Golf, GTI> Tension on the fuel supply line causes the gas tank nipple to crack and leak gasoline. Dealers will check the fuel supply line for tension, inspect the fuel pump supply nipple for cracking, and if necessary the fuel line and the fuel pump will be replaced.
2003-2004 Audi A4, S4 Cabriolet> Luminous transmittance of the xenon headlamp reflector coating degrades over time causing loss of headlamp luminescence.
2005 Jetta> Improperly positioned fuel supply line clamp could leak resulting in an engine fire.
2006 Audi A8> Wiring harness problem prevents the passenger side frontal air bag from working, turning on the air bag and the "passenger air bag off" warning lights
Volvo
2005 S80, XC90> The battery starter motor solenoid power terminal may short against ground causing a loss of electrical power, stall, smoke, underhood electrical fire.
Motorcycles

Big Dog: 2005 Big Dog> Failure of the Electric Harness Control (EHC) module causes total shut down of the motorcycle's electrical power.

Harley-Davidson: 2006 FLHX, FLHXI> Mirrors that were improperly located on the inner fairing and the mirrors cannot be adjusted properly. The dealer will (1) replace the inner fairing with a new inner that has the mirror mounting holes properly positioned; (2) drill another hole and have the mirrors repositioned and the exposed hole would be covered with a decal; (3) drill another hole and have the mirrors repositioned, then, at a later date, have the mirrors replaced with new mirrors that have a larger base which will cover the original mounting hole.
Honda 2006 VT750C> Failure of the wire harness plug for the handlebar-mounted headlight switch causes sudden loss of headlights. Dealers will replace both left and right handle switch assemblies.Polaris: 2004-05 Victory Ness Kingpin, Vegas> Metal to metal contact or debris between the throttle twist grip and the handlebar prevents the throttle twist grip from returning to the fully closed position.
Polaris: 2005 Victory Touring Cruiser> Inadequate clamp pressure on the front fork legs allows the forks to slide up through the triple clamps during high impact, e.g., hard braking, hitting large bumps, potholes, etc causing loss of steering control.
Suzuki: 2003-04 AN400, AN650 Burgman scooters> If the ignition switch is not fully turned from the 'off' to the 'on' position, the ignition switch internal contacts will arc and melt the switch base plate causing the switch to fail, engine stall, and light failure.
Suzuki 2005-2006 VL800, VZ800> improperly routed ignition switch wiring harness rubs against the clutch cable/throttle cable causing a short circuit resulting in engine stall or loss of the lights. Dealers will re-route the wiring harness, replace the lock set, ignition switch, and clutch/throttle cable.
